![]() By repairing, it went back to an older version, which was necessary to load the aksoundengine.dll file. The problem seemed to be that my computer had newer versions of those two redistributables, so when steam went to install the game it didn't think it needed them. (Thanks to ChaosFlame10 for first pointing this out in) After it finished repairing I launched the game and the intro started playing! Hope this might help others. Please read the quote below fully, as you may need to use the "Repair" option:įor those of you waiting: I went into the local game files, went into the folder labeled _CommonRedist, went into the next folder labeled vcredist, then 2010, and clicked vcredist_圆4 and repaired it and also did the same thing for vcredist_x86. Some users have fixed this issue by reinstalling DirectX or the C++ Redistributables included with the game on steam. One potential cause of this issue is missing AKSoundEngine.dll dependencies (you can verify this by looking for "DLLNotFoundException:" in your output log at /EtG_Data/output_log.txt).
